I have a new plan for 2017. I hope you’ll join me.
One of the great challenges of updating a blog focused on commercial real estate ideas, issues and best practices is the selection of topics, large and small, that are useful to readers. And that is always what I want – to provide content that is useful to you.
So here’s my thought. I need to know what you want me to write about. What are your interests? What are the topics related to our industry that concern you? What will help you in your real estate pursuits and in your real estate business and investments?
I can’t guaranty I’ll use every idea you send me, but if it is something that may be of general interest to the followers of this blog, and if I know something about it, or can research and learn something about it, I’ll use it. And if I use it, I’ll send you a free copy of my book, Illinois Commercial Real Estate, Due Diligence to Closing, with Checklists (personalized and signed if you’d like), if you provide a mailing address – or I can provide you with an EBook copy instead if you prefer.
You can provide your topics and ideas through the message box on the Contact page of this blog, or through the contact page on my book site Illinois-cre.com, or via email to me directly at [email protected]. Don’t worry, I won’t share your contact information with anyone else unless you expressly ask me to.
If you provide your topics of interest, I’ll do the work to address the topic as best I can.
Keep in mind that I’m a commercial real estate and business attorney who spends most of my time representing clients within the State of Illinois. Topics related to Illinois real estate and business are what I know most about. But if you have a topic of general interest to the commercial real estate industry as a whole, or even to a niche real estate segment, I’ll do my best to address that as well.
Also, please note that this is not a proper forum for specific legal advice on factually specific circumstances. I can address general issues, but the specific facts of each circumstance will impact any legal analysis. If you are looking for specific legal advice, hire a competent lawyer. I’m available for that as well, but I don’t render legal advice in a public forum. That will be between us via private engagement and communication.
So, I’m hoping to hear from you, and hoping that this request will generate topics of real and immediate interest to my readers. It’s up to you. I look forward to hearing from you.
