First of all, happy new year to all. We want to thank everyone who has joined and supports theBrokerList project. We are so grateful to all of you for helping our site grow. Nothing is more important than your health and we wish all of you a healthy new year in 2013.
To start the year out right and help you hit the ground running, we want to let you know how Profile Maintenance Reminders work!
Each month we send you a single email that will have the subject line of Profile Maintenance Reminder. On the 1st day of each month you will see that email. Please use that email as a great way to think about all of your profiles that are online. Make sure you use this tickler to check your photos, phone numbers, company names, logos, social media URL and other important contact points across ALL of your online profiles, NOT just http://thebrokerlist.com.
Why? Because it makes business sense for you to provide an easy and hassle free way for people to connect to you. If you have a profile at http://thebrokerlist.com and you do not include a link to your Loopnet listings or to your Linkedin profile or Twitter site, that is annoying to people. How can they find you or pursue your properties or learn more about your company if you do not include a current URL for your company website. If you write a blog, why leave that URL field blank? Fill in the blog url so folks can read what you have to say and understand your viewpoint.
A menu of tabs will open. On the (#1)Website tab open the (#2)Select Website Type drop down box. Once there, select one of the 17 choices of URL types shown. If your type is not displayed, send us an email so we may consider this type in our database. Now once you select the website type, enter your (#3)URL in the box and click (#4)Save Website.
So, if you have a blog, for instance, you will enter http://blog.myblog.com, if you are a member of Catylist, you would enter the URL that displays your listings on Catylist. For your Company website, use the Company type, etc.
This is your profile and it is open to the public. Be sure you are ready for the new year and are displaying all the different ways you market your properties and showcase yourself to help you increase your 2013 pipeline!
Happy New Year!
