As an actor I have always had an active imagination and gregarious attitude. As the child of a life long real estate pro, I have a natural propensity for recognizing real estate trends and knowing when to act in any given market. I have always enjoyed viewing properties and scoping out potential cash-cows.
In April 2007 I closed my mortgage office and weighed my options. I didn’t know which way to go with my real estate career. I saw that real estate auctions were taking off, but I also had a huge desire to learn commercial real estate. For the next 5 months I did both: I started Barbazza Commercial Real Estate (BCRE) and I worked to learn the ins and outs of real estate auctions. During those 5 months, I went to several local auctions and prepared myself as if I was going to bid on a property. I was amazed at how many homes were being sold at these auctions. The bidders were hungry for these properties and I wanted in. I was able to develop a small database of auction bidders, I chose a venue, and I had interviewed a few auctioneers….but I couldn’t get listings. I didn’t have the connections. With limited capital, I was forced to abandon my idea and I moved full time into commercial real estate, where I’ve never been happier in a profession. Commercial real estate enjoys many benefits over residential real estate which are too many to enumerate here; needless to say, BCRE is growing and won’t be going away. During the next 12 months, BCRE will be adding team players who will carry our brand into the next stage of growth.
