These savvy commercial real estate professionals do! Do you? theBrokerList contains a list of commercial real estate brokers from around the world and their respective websites, blogs, twitter sites and other online outreach tools. These commercial professionals get it and they are creating their own virtual drive by traffic! Why? Because today it is about the online presence as well as your wood or metal street sign. In fact, that street sign better direct folks to your virtual online presence too! Yes, the physical street sign is a need for drive by traffic, but that is such a small number of hits, compared with your virtual online traffic. Your virtual traffic can deliver so much more power today at pennies in cost, as compared to the stagnant street signs. Yes, you still need a sign, but do not limit your marketing to that alone. Couple all of the pieces together via your online blog or website. All of these puzzle pieces really do work together.
As an industry we must begin to look at the domain name as “online real estate” and drive the virtual traffic to your company and listings as well. You can no longer sit back and assume a website is all you need or a listing on Catylist is enough. Your “online real estate” needs a sign too and the “online real esate” is your connection to the world! A wood or metal sign is one way to attract clients and the public to YOU; but only if they physically drive by. Is that enough?
That needed connection between your domain or listing and your sign is the bridge that social media creates. Period. Without that bridge you are standing alone in a frozen tundra with a wooden or metal sign. By using social media tools you have now added tons of carefully crafted signs at various locations. Twitter is a sign, Facebook is a sign, your blog is a sign. Why would you not want your virtual sign up? It is very low cost. Notice I did not say FREE! Yes, in essence, it appears FREE, but you do need to use your time to set it up. However, even with the labor involved, it is very affordable and attainable.
But how do you do it? With the soft market conditions, now is your time to beef that up. Use your time to build your infrastructure while it is slow. Times will change rather quickly so be prepared. Be sure you think about your investment in your online presence. Gone are the days of a basic website. There needs to be more power packed into that online presence than just a stagnant site.
Visit our below list of Connected Brokers to view first hand those who “get it.” Please connect with these commercial real estate brokers and other commercial real estate professionals who have embraced the online power!
These are their virtual signs that take you directly to their blog or website or twitter site. Sometimes you see a sign on the street, but for many of us, the online presence is even more useful. Hopefully this helps you to find folks just from seeing their For Sale or For Lease sign too!
Congratulations to those brokers who have embraced “Virtual Signs.”
