Yes, you heard right, almost 500 commercial real estate professionals contributed to the 2017 DNA of #CRE Survey this year! That is an increase of 60% over last year! This year was so special because we had so much enthusiasm as a result of this being our 3rd year. I think each year we will grow and grow as the word spreads and more people see the insight they can gain from this incredible peek into what each year was about and how the industry is changing.
The other major factor was a result of our incredibly generous Promo Partners and the enthusiasm so many brokers and supporters are showing us on social media! This was a big year for that.

The Findings Turn Fun
What makes the DNA of #CRE so exciting is of course the findings turned fun. The Buildout team has all hands on deck to compile the raw results and turn it into the amazing infographics and reports, which are a work of art. All thanks to the creative minds of the Buildout team. You can see the love the Buildout team puts into the outcome in showcasing our industry with creativity, color and interesting icons. The team spends an entire month taking what can be considered boring data to some, and puts their touches on it to make it jump off the page for the benefit of us all! A fun fact about DNA of #CRE is the team won a REMA award last year for Best Graphic too!
This year we said let’s do something new to DNA of #CRE and put a great marketing spin on things. This year is the year of #CREMarketing and we wanted to salute the hard working professionals on the marketing side of the commercial real estate industry. Those are the folks behind the scenes who are making our industry move forward with online marketing, social media and blogging. We wanted to hear from them. So this year we added a Marketer’s Edition. The other idea was to add some crystal ball prediction opportunities. We know our industry is full of some of the smartest people in the business world and we wanted to hear from them! They chimed in on what they thought about the future of the industry too. Between driverless cars, AI and VR, we wanted to know if you think it will impact the industry overall. That was an exciting twist on our survey that we thought would prove to be of great interest to all.
Now Digest It All
So it is Saturday morning and you can get your cup of coffee and review the findings. We think you will find it all of great interest.
