Continuing education is a mandatory obligation defined by Illinois Real Estate Licensing Law. For those holding a managing broker’s license, you not only must complete the basic continuing education package, which for 2013 constitutes 18 hours consisting of 9 hours in core subjects and 9 hours of electives, but you must also complete the new 12 hour broker management program. Although basic continuing education can be completed in a classroom or distance learning environment, the managing broker program must be completed in a classroom or live webinar environment. Inland real estate school, has elected to focus on a classroom presentation as it provides better access to the instructor and clarification of the essential components managing broker’s are expected to understand.
